Its bizarre being really ahead on parts because I made them all, like, end of March, early April at the latest, to make sure I didn't end up with loads of deadlines during finals. AVERT YOUR EYES for the first few seconds of this part! Seriously, the still image part is so ugly. I'd just run out of animation clips I could use so that happened, but it looks horrible. I had a lot of fun playing the animation transitions, though, and I think that part came out good, even though I couldn't figure out how to do put a wave effect on the clips and not have it look bad...

Spoilers for the season 2 finale of His Dark Materials! I had so many songs I wanted to edit HDM with, and I was waiting for the season 2 finale for certain scenes, and now none of those edits are working out like I planned, but I really want to edit with my time off, so I was flicking around for sad songs in my Spotify library and rediscovered Scared of the Dark from the Spiderverse soundtrack, and it really works for Lee.
Anyway, Im still very emotional about the season 2 finale. Ive been emotionally preparing myself for Lees death since before the first season even started, but I still wasnt ready, especially when they used Hesters final line from the book... I swear, watching Klaus immediately after on netflixparty saved me because Margus smile can cure all ills! XD
Also, the first MEP from the HDM collab studio I co-lead with EchoOfDarkness is up, and it looks really good!

Like this feels like one of the best thing Ive edited in a while, although the animations mostly came from my Young and Menace edit so I probably couldnt have made this without it, but I think they look better here cause theyre shorter.

I listened to King of Scars at the end of October, and I love Nikolai, Zoya and the rest of the Grisha Triumvirate/the Twins so much that I even decided to suffer through the original trilogy for them. I thought Nikolai was perfect for this theme, though. It was a struggle figuring out what to do for spies, but I really like how this turned out! Very grateful for everyone in the server for feedback to the wips.
