Season 1 Episode 10
Episode: "Hide & Q"
Whilst running at high warp to aid an Earth colony in distress, the Enterprise is halted by a visit from Q. Boasting an irreverence for Captain Picard's motivation to complete his rescue mission, Q insists that mission take second place to a mission of his own; to explore how Commander Riker will behave once he has been given the power of the Q.
Q is sifting through the pages of some vast volume that Picard keeps on Shakespeare and reels off a quote from Macbeth. With Q's offer of quoting Hamlet however, Picard bats back somewhat forcefully with another well known quote but flavoured somewhat differently to what Shakespeare probably intended.
One of my favourie lines this one.
