After dealing with plagues, pirates, and probes the crew has earned a bit of a break. I have authorized shore leave on Amir II, the uninhabited M-class world which Narendra station orbits. The crew will have to follow strict rules to remove all trash that they produce and will have to undergo decontamination both before and after their trip, but still they will get to enjoy mountains, beaches, canyons, and forests. I intend to climb some trees, my claws could use a good sharpening. I just have to check to see which species don't produce too much resin. Getting tree resin out of fur in a sonic shower is a nightmare.
Not long into their leave the captain is contacted by Admiral Hebert. The crew is sent back to Setu, the home world of the Akaru, and their mysterious leader Iryax Neadaon. The Iryax says that he is offering the federation another chance, and wants to negotiate trade, extradition, and perhaps even mutual defense agreements. The crew will first have to traverse an increasingly dangerous Shackleton Expanse as well as overcome the lingering ill will from their last visit when they scanned mysterious structures under the oceans of Setu in direct violation of the wishes of the Iryax.
