Captain's Log
Star Date 7120.1
We are en route to the Temujin system at high warp. We were originally ordered by Admiral Stoker and a strangely worded message to investigate the third planet for Tilikaal ruins. It seems that that is all we do lately, and that the admiral might be obsessed. Regardless while we were en route we received a distress call from the U.S.S. Boca Raton, an Archer class scout ship with a primarily human crew, they claim that they were attacked by Kzinti slavers and they launched their escape pods in the vicinity of Temujin III. Our mission, as important to the admiral as it might be, is less important than a rescue, which takes priority. Temujin III is a class-L planet with an atmosphere of mostly nitrogen and only 15% oxygen, produced mostly by a microbe called sand plankton. The planet has almost no standing bodies of water, and frequent sandstorms. If the crew have made it to the surface they are probably still alive, but in need of serious aid.
