The Kongzi is engaged in routine surveys of gravimetric anomalies in the Shackleton Espanse in a region where several Federation, Orion, and Klingon merchant vessels have gone messing in the last few years. The scientists at Narendra Station think that the gravimetric disturbances might be a navigation hazard. I wouldn't know, but if they're right then I'm sure our sensor reading can help create better navigation algorithms that Starfleet can disseminate to local governments and ship captains. It's nice to have a break after all the stress of our last mission.
