The Ten Wise Men Raids were added in patch 1.1 along with Chaos difficulty and they drop their jewels (pretty powerful assault characters), new gear, and an Ash Crystal which can be used to upgrade your ultimate weapon.

Michael has the same gimmick as Lucifer in that he negates your elemental resistances. As long as you can keep up with your heals, its not bad.
