The Ten Wise Men Raids were added in patch 1.1 along with Chaos difficulty and they drop their jewels (pretty powerful assault characters), new gear, and an Ash Crystal which can be used to upgrade your ultimate weapon.

Jophiel reduces your movement to a crawl and has some annoying attacks that basically 1 shot you so you have to rely on guts or Narrow Escape. He can be bursted pretty quickly though.
