Star Fox has made a triumphant return on the Switch 2, with a remake of what many people consider the best entry in the series as well as what I consider to be one of the most quotable games of all time, Star Fox 64!
This remake expands upon the lore and the new features of Star Fox 64, with a campaign where you can customize your route to Venom each time by completing certain tasks in each mission with an unlockable expert difficulty, and a challenge mode for each mission with a list of 6 objectives for each level on both Normal and Expert, unlockable medals for scoring a certain number of hits with all of your crewmates surviving, and unlockable information about all of the characters and planets for completing everything!
There is also a greatly expanded online multiplayer Battle Mode!
Next in this playthrough, Challenge Mode begins! Each level has a set of 6 Normal Challenges and 6 Expert Challenges (unlocked by beating all of the Normal challenges). First up, Corneria!
Normal Challenges:
-Kill 3 or more enemies with a single charge shot
-Complete Falco's challenge
-Destroy all 6 Garuda robots
-Destroy all 4 Ski Bots
-Complete the level in less than 3 minutes
-Destroy every vulnerable part of the Granga
Expert Challenges:
-Score 100 hits before taking damage
-Complete Falco's challenge before Falco does
-Prevent all buildings from being pushed over
-Destroy all Cornerian satellite dishes
-Destroy the Attack Carrier within 30 seconds
-Destroy the Granga within 10 seconds
