Star Fox has made a triumphant return on the Switch 2, with a remake of what many people consider the best entry in the series as well as what I consider to be one of the most quotable games of all time, Star Fox 64!
This remake expands upon the lore and the new features of Star Fox 64, with a campaign where you can customize your route to Venom each time by completing certain tasks in each mission with an unlockable expert difficulty, and a challenge mode for each mission with a list of 6 objectives for each level on both Normal and Expert, unlockable medals for scoring a certain number of hits with all of your crewmates surviving, and unlockable information about all of the characters and planets for completing everything!
There is also a greatly expanded online multiplayer Battle Mode!
Next in this playthrough, Expert Mode continues! More enemies, more damage from enemies, and instant broken wings from collisions! Now we're going down the hard route, where the instant-wing-damage mechanic proved quite problematic on Area 6 and Venom 2.
