Work to restore historic tidal channels between Kilisut Harbor and Oak Bay in Jefferson County along SR 116 is nearly complete. The new bridge which connects Indian Island and Marrowstone Island is expected to open later this fall to all travelers, and significantly improve fish passage in the area benefiting Hood Canal Salmon. This project is spearheaded by the North Olympic Salmon Coalition, funded by WSDOT and several other partners to improve fish migration between these two channels.
