Battle for Bikini Rehydrated is one of the few remakes to come out over the last few years that has disappointed me. To be clear, it isn't a bad game. However, it hasn't changed up its gameplay or story at all, which means that the performance and presentation has to carry the game, and they just don't. From pop in textures, to collision detection, to bugs and glitches and so much more; this game just lacks polish despite the beautiful new environmental details and shiny new character models. It's clear, something from the original has been lost, and it's called charm.
