Split, Croatia was one of the highlights of our Croatia island hopping cruise. It's Croatia's second largest city and it's a bustling city with lots of history. In this video, we visit People's Square, a 15th century square with an Italian influence. The square features 15th and 16th century palaces, as well as an early 20th century palace, Old City Hall, the site of a former bookstore that was the third oldest bookstore in Europe, and the famous clock, with its 24 Roman numerals. The square also features several outdoor cafes and we stayed at a very nice hotel here, which put us smack in the middle of all of the square's great history and architecture!
