I don't want to get too close to the action too quickly, but I don't want to be too cautious either. I ink a path here and there then look over the ledge to see what's happening. A roller looks like they would like to be splatted, but jumping towards them just gets me hit with Point Sensors from somewhere. Ink Mines? Either way, I run behind cover, until I see the Flingza Roller again. They see me too, and back off to launch Tenta Missiles. I throw a Suction Bomb their way and hide, the bomb hitting someone, which is good, but the Splat Zones turning pink, which is not as good.

I poke my nose in to the Splat Zones, letting me see the Bloblobber is sitting on the ledge, and they need to feel less safe. My Wave Breaker does that, as they come closer, but I move up anyway, finding the Squiffer taking up the position on the ledge. I miss them, which is quite poor, but give chase and get the splat. I put some pressure on the returning Bloblobber, as my squidmates give us the lead, and track over to the other ledge, where the Flingza Roller is sitting pretty. They back off to fire more missiles as I blast their way, and try to splat them as they reappear. My focus makes me notice the Squiffer far too late, and they take full advantage.

The Flingza Roller comes around to our turf, for whatever reason, and I push them back. Then it's in to the Splat Zones again, or thereabouts, where a Wave Breaker causes me problems I don't know how I manage to get out of, particularly with more missiles flying in, but my recovery sees the Flingza Roller jump right in front of my blast. Nice! My own Wave Breaker proves a nice distraction, letting me splat the Bloblobber, but my new-found confidence doesn't let me get a direct hit on the Squiffer, which is a shame. I see where they go, and move to meet them. I need to wait for their Zipcaster to finish, but I greet them on landing.

I move in to the Splat Zones and destroy a Sprinkler, splatting its owner too, but not before they throw enough ink my way to send me back to base. I return to confront the Squiffer again, this time a bit of jumping saving my skin, and I slink around the side to provide some surprise blasts for the Bloblobber, although the Flingza Roller gets away. Not completely, though, and I even manage to dodge nicely to splat the Dualie Squelchers afterwards. Meanwhile, our score is ticking over nicely, and the pink team can't do enough to neutralise the Splat Zones before we get an early victory. Woomy!
