I wouldn't have thought we'd burst the Rainmaker first, but we do. Not that it helps us, as the blue team push in to our turf and start splatting, grabbing the Rainmaker as they come. The checkpoint is hit as I return, and I pretty much just wait for my squidmates to come back before I poke my beak anywhere. And, let's be honest, I keep hiding behind them as they splat the blue team away. But I want to contribute, so I grab the Rainmaker and head for the ink rail, splatting the Sploosh-o-matic on the way, as my squidmates continue their good job of splatting the blue team. I hit the ink rail, physically, not with the Rainmaker, and zip up to the checkpoint, only to realise the blue team got a lot further than I gave them credit for. We've still got a lot to do.

We burst the Rainmaker free, but the blue team are coming in to defend. I splat the Sploosh-o-matic again, and whip out an Ink Vac to keep myself a bit safer as more inklings appear. It almost does the job, until it stops sucking, then the inksplosion can't come quickly enough against the Painbrush. We're wiped out, which is unfortunate, and as the blue team return the Rainmaker I get in to a defensive position. It helps protect against flanks, if not Rainmaker progress initially. Still, splatting the Painbrush twice feels good.

I get back in to a position closer to the Rainmaker as my squidmates splat it, and we burst it free again to make a new push. An Ink Vac does a good job of letting the Rainmaker use the ink rail, and we're back up at the checkpoint. I sneak a decent splat on the Hero Shot Replica, but trying to get past the chokepoint proves difficult. I end up retreating a bit, when the Tetra Dualies close in on me, but my squidmates persevere and get more splats, so I pop up again. Another Ink Vac sucks in the blue ink coming our way, including a Suction Bomb, and its inksplosion and my squidmates good work gets us a Wipeout this time.

The Rainmaker was dropped just short of the podium, but without the blue team to worry about, I'm happy to pick it up and dunk it on the podium for a good turnaround victory. Woomy!
