Alcohol stoves such as the Trangia or Toaks work well but are not spillproof.
So if you knock them over, they will spill burning alcohol, which can be very dangerous.

This alcohol stove is spillproof, making it much safer to use.
The ceramic fiber insulation keeps the alcohol safely inside the burner, even if the stove is knocked over!
And since it's not a jet stove, it's very easy to build.

All you need is
a small tin can
ceramic fiber insulation
and wire mesh
