I picked up Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy on a recent Steam sale. I've been trying to get the word out about this game since I first uploaded it as a PS2 Underrated Gem all the way back in 2010: youtu.be/WpiNI8Vk3D0
This is an underrated PS2, Gamecube, and Xbox classic, and it has since been re-released on the PS4, PC, Mac, and Xbox One. Find this game in whatever form you can, either physically on the 5th gen console, or digitally on a newer platform.
The Dev team is still involved in patching the game here and there with patches on this PC version as new as February of 2026. This PC version runs incredibly smooth, and can run excellently on pretty much any hardware. Even integrated graphics should be able to run it well. A single core Intel or AMD running 1.5 GHz supporting SSE2 instructions and a GeForce 8600 (a GPU from 2007) are the required specs. Even a 12 year old CPU with Integrated Graphics can run this game. It's a very low spec game, but it's an excellent game.
