What does an ordinary summer day look like in a 1940s-inspired home?
In today's video, I'm taking you along through the gentle rhythms of daily life in my little 1920s house—a home that has taught me to slow down, embrace the seasons, and find contentment in the ordinary.
From making breakfast in my vintage-inspired kitchen and caring for my houseplants to hanging vintage linen in the sunshine and sharing the beautiful Northumberland quilt generously gifted to me by a subscriber, this is a celebration of slow living, historic homemaking, and creating a home that feels deeply personal.
While my home is inspired by the 1940s, it is also filled with pieces from many different eras and treasured family heirlooms that tell the story of the people I love. More than recreating the past, I'm interested in learning from it—finding timeless wisdom that encourages gratitude, intentional living, and joy in everyday routines.
