This sourdough bread with walnuts and barley malt is a very traditional type of bread here in Spain. I took it up a notch by using mostly spelt flour instead of wheat. It makes the bread even chewier and nuttier than wheat. Happy baking!

Ingredients for the Walnut and Barley Malt Bread:
♥ 200g sourdough starter (doubled in size. here's how to make your own from scratch: vitalivesfree.com/make-sourdough-starter-home-5-days/)
♥ 600g water + 30g later
♥ 3 Tbsp liquid barley malt
♥ 700g white spelt flour
♥ 300g whole wheat flour
♥ 150g walnuts
♥ 21g fine sea salt
You'll also need:
