Ingrid Crickmore | Spanish fingerloop braid,7 loops, Pt 2 Turning loops @loopbraider | Uploaded October 2011 | Updated October 2024, 40 minutes ago.
I now have a better version of this video, posted Jan 15, 2012, that is much clearer. Click on the link at the top of this video to go to the new one. See my channel for all my loop braiding videos (click on "loopbraider" at the top of the page).
See Part 1 first--this second part shows the same braiding procedure, still in slo-mo, but now I am turning (reversing/ crossing) all the loop transfers--from below--as in the bicolor samplers in my two blog posts: "A Spanish Braid, Breed, Breadth" (pictures of sample braids)

and "Why Spanish?"
loopbraider.wordpress.com/2011/01/20/instructions-7-loop-spanish-left-half-of-the-14-loop-letterbraid
This braid was learned from the monograph on 17th Century Letter Braids by Joy Boutrup and Noemi Speiser: European Loop Braiding: Investigations and Results--Part II Instructions for Letter Braids in 17th Century Manuscripts
For more info about loop braiding--incl beginning tutorials, how to make braids several yards/meters long, how to braid with more loops than you have fingers, etc-- check out my Loop Braiding blog:
