In this episode of Adventures Into History, we’re deep in Talbot County, Georgia with a living legend—Mr. Hugh Oliver.

Hugh has lived a life as rich as the land around him. He walks us through his collection of rare classic cars—including forgotten barn finds—and shows us a 1965 airplane tucked away in a rural barn. We even see Billy Carter’s Jeep (yes, that Billy Carter—Jimmy Carter’s brother).

But this isn’t just a story about vehicles. It’s a story about a man, a county, and nearly 200 years of Georgia history. We see column pieces from a long-gone courthouse made of horsehair and mud, and we hear stories that you won’t find in any textbook—only from someone who’s lived them.

This is the kind of history you can still touch—and the kind we’re trying to preserve.
