Cecil and I are deep in the woods of Taylor County, Georgia—on a mission to uncover a long-lost cemetery buried in history. This stretch of land once belonged to Talbot County and was part of a plantation that time has nearly erased. Along the way, we find ruins of old plantation homes. According to the book A Rockaway in Talbot by William Davidson, this cemetery is called the old Bogg Cemetery, also known as the Bogg Burying Ground. This cemetery holds only a few marked graves—three children with the surname Butt, and one adult with the last name Watson.
