If you love cheesy grits this is for you and the presentation is what makes it unique. It makes a great side dish for almost any meal and is easy to make.
Ingredients:
3 cups milk
3 cups water
1 tsp salt
2 cups uncooked grits
1/2 cup butter
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your choice)
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
Combine milk, water, and salt in a medium saucepan; bring to boil over medium heat. Add grits, stirring well. Reduce heat and cook for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Add butter and Cheddar cheese; stir until melted. Cool 10 minutes.
Scoop grits into a serving bowl using an ice cream scoop. Combine Parmesan cheese and paprika; mix well. Sprinkle cheese mixture over the tops of scoops just before serving.
Yield 12 servings.
