A Southern Carpenter Bee (Xylocopa micans) feeds from Mealy Blue Sage (Salvia farinacea) flowers at McGovern Centennial Garden, in Hermann Park, Houston, TX, USA. After feeding from one flower, it cleans up a bit and then flies to other flowers.
