South of Midnight reminds me heavily of games like Hi-Fi Rush - a 10 hour journey through linear levels combining light combat and platforming elements to create a fun but fading experience. The point of difference here is the inclusion of southern inspired cryptids that protagonist Hazel will come face to face with. I recommend it, but mostly on Game Pass.
