Persona 3 Reload is a good game, but I wouldn't call it a great Persona experience. Many new additions allow the game to meet the expectations of a modern audience; and the result is still a perfectly enjoyable video game; but there is something about it that disappoints - it feels like something has been lost while issues with the original have been brought forward. In this review, I tried to figure out what I felt was missing from this remake, despite never having played the original. What an endeavor.
