For DITTRICH & SCHLECHTRIEM, MONA filmed Soufiane Ababri’s exhibition titled 'NON MERCI !!!.' Accompanied by an interview with the artist, this video shows Ababri’s art installation as well as parts of the performance that took place in the frame of the exhibition.

Soufiane Ababri’s practice provokes activism through literary, sociological and political texts, attributed to queer individuals but not exclusively queer in cultural impact. ‘NON MERCI !!!’ refers to Cyrano de Bergerac’s refusal to participate in the bourgeois world and anything that exerts control over his freedom.
