MONA’s video of ‘Witnessing History in the Making: Photographs by Anne de Henning’ at the Guimet Museum of Asian Art in Paris gives an overview of the exhibition as well as the incredible Bangladeshi history documented in the displayed photographs.
Presented in partnership with Asia Now Paris Art Fair and produced by Samdani Art Foundation and Centre for Research and Information, the exhibition unveils de Henning’s previously unpublished photographs of the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War and post-independent Bangladesh in 1972, contextualized with photos she took in the 1970s.
