How much leeway can I give you? Not much this week, but then again, who knows when you'll be watching this? The past few days have felt quite eerie, like I'm in transit for the unknown. And that is my mood for this stream. There's been some interesting new finds since last week, and that could very well set the direction. But I also feel a storm coming, quite literally. I love the rain, especially in the summer, it usually signals a sudden shift, both in atmospheric pressure, and emotional pressure. How often do we need a reset in the latter case, and can we/should we trigger that?
I was having a little discussion about the notion of intensity in music, and I was a little surprised to hear surprise at my take. I get that minimalism can be intense, but when I think of intensity in music, I think of a scope saturated with information, not a mental castle, but a finite room where I could not for the love of god find any space left for any addition. That could also be a definition of claustrophobia. But one doesn't usually welcome that.
So I may try to play that card during this stream, If I still feel the storm coming, saturate the space, break something, learn something, be happy. Hopefully with you.
