Laughter. Smiles. Casual declarations of love, and the perpetual smell of salt. These were my memories, right? I had friends. I loved them.. Or at least I thought I did.

It all started with a game. A simple game, I thought. Have you ever played Mafia? It's interesting. You have to find the murderer, before it's too late. I prided myself as a master, at the time. But when my best friend looked up and accused me, looking straight into my guilty eyes, I snapped. Sure, I wasnt really a killer.. It was just a game, and it might have been a lucky guess. That didn't change the outcome, did it?

I offered her the knife playfully. "So you think I'm a murderer?" Her eyes widened ever so slightly, and I couldn't restrain the feeling of elation as my weapon cut through her delicate skin like butter. I left her bloody and sobbing on the ground. The forest was our little secret. Nobody found her.

My cheerful conversations with Sora soon assuaged all the worry over her disappearance. My dear Namine was always somewhat of a rebel. She must have ran away.

He told me of his frightening dreams, the worlds in which he screamed. About how he would fall, and I would release his hand, a smile twisting my face. No, I could not be caught by a dream! I was the master, after all. Nobody would figure me out. I started planning. And plans wove their way through my mind and soul, and I smiled. I was clearly a genius.

I knew of the tidal wave coming. So I stood there, the waves tickling my toes playfully. Normally, I would have smiled at the sensation. But today was not for joy. Today was for survival. He had to die. The giant wave swept up from the depths, and he ran to save me as I knew he would. Stepping carefully out of harms way, I watched as the wave swallowed him. I couldn't resist taking one last elated look at him. The fear in his eyes made him even more beautiful. Oh, how I loved my Sora. Although, his foolish attempts to reach for me were a bit irritating. With a laugh, I left him to drown. He should have practiced swimming when I told him to.

Riku's half-hearted questions about him troubled me. How did he know I was on the beach that day? He left me only one option. I couldn't resist smiling. After all, If I can't win at Mafia, what do I have left?
