A wireless, podcast, streaming, voice over microphone for video production! I've never seen a microphone like this and it's also a good one! Price the ECM-S1 podhelp.me/sonyecms1BH.
The Sony ECM-S1 is not just another wireless mic for you camera. There are plenty of wireless, lav microphone systems for capturing audio into your video camera but the ECM-S1 is a broadcast style microphone used by podcasters, streamers and voice over creators except it's also wireless for connecting to your Sony cameras. This is a microphone system that I haven't seen before and so I had to try it out. Turns out, it's also a great sound mic!

Who would buy this microphone? I think the online creator who does both podcasts, live-streaming and/or video production would be the type of person who would purchase the ECM-S1. Because you can also use this microphone as a USB mic to go directly into your computer, it would be easy to use this as your primary microphone for podcasting and/or streaming and then if you create YouTube videos as well, this mic easily connects to a Sony camera via the Mi shoe or any other camera that has a 3.5mm audio input. In all cases, the microphone sounds great.
