The new Sony A9III is a big camera on the inside. Some of the wording in the menu system has also changed. Since the A6000 back in 2014, Sony has had a menu item called, "AF sensitivity." In the A9III, that menu name has changed to, "AF Lvl for Crossing." It is doing the same thing as before but the description is confusing. I wanted to make a video talking about this feature and remind everyone that the new terminology does not affect any change in how the AF works in this specific regard. 1- is still the most "locked on" setting with 5- being the most "instant." "Crossing" refers to subjects other than the one you want crossing in between you and the subject you want. Think referee here. When the zebra strikes, you can either lose the subject you wanted if your settings are to high (towards 4-5) or hold through the crossing and keep your intended subject in focus (1-2).
