Sonos Bem pre-orderes were delivered this week and I had a chance to unbox and install this in my living room. Connected to my AppleTV, the Sonos Beam lets me send all of the content form the AppleTV to all the Sonos speakers I want which gives it a step up over the standard Airplay2 protocol. I also paired this with an existing pair of Sonos Ones to give me a full surround sound ( minus the sub-woofer ) without all the hassle of the wires running around my house. All in all, the Sonos Beam sounds great and was fairly easy to setup. The hardest part was actually just finding the right settings on my TV. Although Sonos has included Amazon's Alexa digital assistant directly into the Sonos Beam, the other great thing about the Sonos Beam is it's support for Airplay2 means that I can link it into my Apple Homekit smarthome and use Siri voice commands to move my Apple Music arround my house between my Apple TV, Apple HomePods, and the Sonos system, or I can just ask Siri to "play this everywhere". Pretty sweet.
