Well here it is, the highest and silliest score attack there is. A large amount of you probably already know about this trick, perhaps by a name like "infinite lives" or similar, as it does have the benefit of very easy farming of lives.
By simply spindashing on the spot, the alarm calls birdbots over and over that succumb to a swift death. This is not the only stage across sonic games where you can use respawning enemies for a high score, but it is by far the easiest, and most abusable, meaning you can get the highest score with it.
It then turns this score attack into effectively a speedrun with extra steps, because you still only have 10 minutes of time to play with, so you have to finish as fast to possible in order to not time over but get as many birdbots as possible. Without the score farming, this run would be equivalent to a 38 second time, which is the IL record. As such, I'm reasonably confident in calling this perfect.
Note: The score is adjusted, as the 100,000 Time Bonus is not allowed in score attacks of this game, as it makes the time bonus factor uncompetitive. As such, I am only allowed 100 points of the time bonus. You are also only allowed 100 points from hitting the signpost, otherwise you could spam it forever. Because I hit it twice, I have to subtract another 100 points. Meaning a total of 100,000 has to be subtracted to get the final score.
This beats the previous record of 2,334,900 by 122,500 points.
