Moving on to Aquatic Ruin in my A Button Only series. The difficult part here is getting the superglide off the Grounder to get enough height to pass above the loop. After that the path is pretty straight forward - remembering though that if you glide above the ceiling, you will get stopped. Otherwise you could glide very high in this stage all the way to the end, but alas.
It's pretty surprising how low I've been able to push a bunch of these stage with this restriction, but here we are.

Decent improvement here, good timing for a PB. Dubs is really fun!
Of course, you cant *actually* get the Gold Symbol in Doubles, but the category exists for it as if you can at the same spot, because otherwise you wouldnt have a category so why not.

Moving onto Gym Leader Castle in the new Transfers only arc. This is by far the easiest of the GLC categories - as evidence, I got deathless first try here!
The Red segment of this run wasnt great, and I have a feeling that given the time I got for the GLC segment, going solo Mewtwo might end up faster. So I might try that out in future, but for now, heres a start.

Holy fucking shit. The best Stadium run of my life. Mental stuff this, mental.
Completing this game is defined as getting the final credits, after defeating Mewtwo in Round 2. To do this, you must complete all Stadium cups, and the Gym Leader Castle in both Round 1, and Round 2. As the length of this video suggest, that takes a fairly long time.
In speedrunning this game, only the rental Pokemon are allowed (as using imports would be far too easy, and too boring, and using data from a different game). This makes some of the fights really tricky and interesting to work out, as the opposing Pokemon towards the end of the run are much better than you both in stats, and in moveset.
