After many years of waiting we finally have a way to experience Sonic 3 & Knuckles in the framework of Classic Heroes, the rom-hack for Sonic 1 & 2 that allows us to play the first Sonic games with all three heroes at the press of a button.

The main mod used here is called Incredulous Knuckles and lets us go through not just with 3 characters, but also with all level paths unlocked, letting Sonic & Tails into areas of the level only Knuckles can traverse and vice-versa. The mod still has bugs that impede progress, but the game can be completed by reloading.
