Since I've played Sonic 1 Github Madness 1 and 2 on AtGames hardware, it's about time I completed the trilogy with the 3rd one that came out this year. The 1st and 2nd Github Madness I was able to finish many of the zones fine since the level designs weren't exactly made to be frustrating, but this one? Oh man, this certainly tops the frustrating level design cake. I could probably compare some of the level design in this hack to VAdaPEGA's Pantufa the Cat, where in that hack the level design was made to be frustrating and savestate based, but man, this takes the frustrating level design to a whole new level sometimes. I don't wanna consider that a bad thing though, I mean after all, this hack was made to release for April Fools Day, and I had fun playing it even with it's frustrating moments.
I played this hack as Sonic, who is orange and has the face of Matthew Littlemore, which is funny considering Matthew Littlemore replaces Dr. Robotnik in this hack, and I'll admit, some of his animations do have some effort! Well, effort may be stretching it, but it's just my thought.
Before Special Stages are played, a playable version of the Family Guy Bee Bush scene has to be beat before moving on to the actual Special Stage, which I'll admit is a very clever gag. And of course, Splash Screens and cutscenes are right up your alley too, as this game has plenty of them, though cutscenes only apply for when you start and beat the hack. I could go on and on about this hack, but I mean, it's best to just play it yourself, you won't be sorry.
Yeah, I had to skip many of the savestate based stages, as well as the ones that are unbeatable, but even if I skipped some stages, whatever, I'm still considering this as a Full Longplay.
