Somnolence is a walking-simulator, adventure, puzzle, indie video game. Developed and published by PurpleSloth in 2021. After a tiring and long day you come home, only to crash down on your bed, falling asleep in just mere seconds, for you to wake up in a strange, yet familiar world. Maybe there's something more to this than just being a simple dream? Somnolence is a drowsy self introspective journey through the man's eyes.
NoirStation Rating: - 3 Out Of 5 - I'm usually more critical about these walking simulators, mainly because they don't offer any challenge and bore me very quickly. However, playing Somnolence was something new. The game is very quick paced, offers a reasonable challenge, and has some interesting visuals. I was able to relate with the Sisyphus myth reference myself, the same way as the game's protagonist. Making me more invested in this game, I think the developers are onto something here…
This video is recorded, played in my style, and edited by me. Longplay is made as fluid as possible without any deaths, unnecessary menus, loading screens, stumbling around or other non-essential things to a walkthrough. So that the video can be used as an easy to follow guide for educational, preservational or entertainment purposes. Review and description is written by me as well.
