I spent 16 days on the ice sheet doing research, we drilled a few shallow ice cores and placed sensors! Sadly we encountered some issues: we accidentally drilled into a crevasse which almost triggered our evacuation plan, we broke one snowmobile and our drilling equipment had multiple issues ...
Temperatures were a lot warmer than what I prepared for: temperatures went from -23°C to -3°C, we had a storm at first, then very good weather, almost no wind (I could fly the drone!), then angel dust, very windy but sunny days and finally some snow with almost no wind, but we barely had fog.
I'll be editing several videos on this trip later this summer, this is just a teaser for it :)
