With some friends we went up Granite Peak in July 2023. This is a really nice summit, the approach is very remote (except for afternoon on sunny weekends, the lakes are crowded), you go up the switchbacks of hell onto froze-to-death plateau, a surreal place at 3500m (11k feet) were pikas and mountain GOATS are kings, you finally reach the east ridge of Granite and make your way up 4th class climbing, including a short crux at 5.6 ish. That was one of my favourite climbs ever...
