Join me on another wildcamping adventure in the Lake District. This week I park up at Underscar near Latrigg, and set off to tackle England's 4th highest mountain, Skiddaw, via Little man. At the start of the hike the path is clear and steep, enough to test anyone's thighs out! The weather was glorious, with a nice cooling breeze, however I quickly got a sweat on due to working hard on the steep slope. The stunning hazy views over Derwent Water quickly open up, and i could feel the warmth of the sun on my skin, it was a good day! I finally hit a little bit of flat just before Jenkin hill where I could take a rest. Approaching Skiddaw Little Man my legs were starting to fade, the wind had picked up and started to feel cold. I pushed on towards Skiddaw itself, the closer I got to the summit, the stronger the wind became. On tapping the trig point I took in the awesome views, but quickly became very cold, the summit is very rocky so I decided to drop back down to Little Man, where I set my chair up and enjoyed some food whilst taking in the views.
