Overnight backpacking trip to the Mount Baldy Wilderness, just outside of Greer Arizona in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. Total loop is 16.5 miles. Hike features high elevation views and multiple mountain springs feeding into the little Colorado River. An excellent Arizona hiking destination to beat the heat. Note: If you hike the western trail first, you will follow a small river for 6-7 miles. If you hike the eastern trail first, you will not have access to filterable water for 10+ miles. Elevation starts at 9,300 feet, so be prepared!
