I am a big "move to the mountains" advocate - I think it'll improve your life in so many ways (many of which I talk about in this video). However, there are certainly some drawbacks to living in the mountains, and definitely some things to consider before buying a house in the mountains. I'm not a professional, or even a self-proclaimed professional on all things mountain living, but I have literally lived in the mountains for almost a decade, so I've learned just a bit. I've bought, owned, and improved upon two houses in the mountains, and bought land, designed, and built a house from scratch up here as well - so it does give me a few insights in that regard.
