Prime Ribeye seared on the Plancha! Postal BBQ Mad Cow Rub was excellent! Quick and fast dinner!
• Started with two ½” to ¾” Prime Ribeyes from our purchase of the whole ribeye roast.
• Seasoned them with Postal BBQ Mad Cow Rub.
• Set up the Slow ‘N Sear Kettle to be 2 zones. Banked some charcoal from a previous cook on one side.
• Placed the Plancha on the grill and let the internal temp of the grill come up to 400 degrees.
• Sprayed the Plancha with Ghee cooking oil.
• Placed the ribeyes over the hot side of the Plancha for 1 ½ minutes each side.
• Did one more flip to finish them off for 20 to 30 seconds until we got to temperature.
• Covered for about 10 minutes while we set up the cameras and did the taste test.
Summary: I was hoping for a little more sizzle, but the crust was excellent, and the Postal BBQ rub just enhanced that flavor. This is a must try!
