First time trying pork wings from Porter Road on the Rec Tec 380. Seasoned with Pit Patriots BBQ Rub and finished with their Chipotle Sauce! https://linktr.ee/beersjackofbbq Please check out our affiliates!
• Started with two nice pork wings from Porter Road.
• Seasoned them with Pit Patriot All American BBQ Seasoning about 4 hours in advance.
• Set up the Rec Tec 380 Bullseye to run at 250.
• Placed the two pork wings on the Rec Tec 380 and let them ride until they reached 160 degrees.
• We wrapped the pork wings and turned the grill up to 300 until the pork wings reached 195 degrees and were probe tender.
• At this point we removed from the foil and coated with Pit Patriot Chipotle Hot Sauce on each side and let that set up.
• Pulled them off the grill and rest until we moved the camera equipment for the final taste test.
Summary: For the first-time cooking these and tasting them, these were awesome! Kind of in between a rib and pork shoulder. Meaning this had a flavor like a shoulder and had more meat than a rib with less fat content!
• Porter Road has great cuts that you can’t always find in your area, give them a try. Meat has been fantastic! I had a shipping issue, and their customer service took care of it right away!
