Hello and happy 2022!
I haven't posted in a while because I've been working on other things, but here's a little vlog to show you what I did on the *1* snow day in Durham. (I grew up in Minnesota and lived in Colorado for a decade so I'm very used to snow, but I forget that it's a rare occurrence in some places!)
My roommates and I played in the snow (my 2022 "theme for the year" is PLAY and I'm actively trying to live into that) and snacked on sugary treats (literal snow cones and hot chocolate). Plus, I realize I forgot to introduce my roommates in the last vlog, so you'll get a quick "hello" from both of them. They're sweet, fun, and lovely people to live with, imho.
Part of the reason I have difficulty staying consistent with uploading videos is that it takes me HOURS to edit each video. So this time I challenged myself to edit this video in 1 hour. And I (mostly) accomplished that! Due to slow upload and processing speed, it took a little longer, but I'm proud of myself for how quickly I was able to make this video and be happy with the result.
I've mentioned before that this YouTube page is an experiment for me - a way to work on my video shooting, editing, and creating skills overall. Plus, with my 2022 "theme of the year" being PLAY, I'm trying to have more fun with the process. This video (the shooting and editing process) definitely got me there. I had fun, and am happy with the result overall.
