Sniper Elite 3 is set to come out likely some time either in 2014, this little video blog I am making is my opinion of it:
Sniper Elite 3 will be taking place again during World War II, but the exact time period is yet unconfirmed, it's said to be set in Africa, the X-Ray camera will be returning. They have said it will be more of an open environment, apparently also decisions you make can alter the Campaign, it's also expected to be more open world, slightly like an RPG game.
They were asked if they felt pressure to go modern in order to keep up with every other FPS game, they replied that they are unique, being so different makes their own little niche in the market.
No here are my problems with it:
1. I was hoping it would be this: (Modern) Sniper Elite 3, basically that it has two Campaigns, one that is modern, and the other that again focuses on WWII, giving players a vast difference. That is something I've always wanted to see
2. Basing a game on the Africa Campaign seems like a bad idea, see, most people that care about WWII and like the history, care more about things like D-Day, and anything that has to do with Hitler and so forth, the average person knows nothing about Africa's take in WWII. To me that doesn't seem like a good marketing ploy.
Sniper Elite V2 was great in it's own rights, but really wasn't all that difficult, geographically wise, yes the mechanics like bullet dropping, compensating for wind and so for is difficult and so forth, but overall, ALL the levels are too short, the distance from point A to point B is too short. Also, it's one section to the next, it just seems like go here, than there, that's it, no side trips or things of that nature. I loved how you could customize the difficulty, that's a first for me, not just easy, medium, hard and so forth, but you can change attributes, and mechanics and so forth, that was truly awesome.
It's a game I'm glad I played, and did enjoy a bit, but I think Sniper Elite 3 isn't going to be that different from Sniper Elite V2, it'll be different because it'll be on the next generation of consoles, and maybe be a lot more open, but I think it'll be the same basic idea, I just have a feeling there would be massive changes.
I like my idea above about (Modern) Sniper Elite 3.
The Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army was a great idea, basing it off the success of Black Ops and Black Ops II. They really made Zombies popular again, but I haven't really had a chance to play it yet, but I've heard great things about it.
