A testing video. A preview of what's in store for next year.
Okay next year in 2026 I will be participating in a new ''One Life Challenge'' video series hosted by the awesome J.RussellRetroGaming and I had to find a way to record my emulated videos through a Snes emulator as I don't own any real hardware Super Nintendo consoles or a Super NT.
This emulator can record AVI videos of you playing the emulator, the catch is it can only record the visual, the sound is forever muted, it has another option to record movies in a format called smv. This however is not a real codec and won't work on Youtube, Windows Media Player or VLC. A shame because this movie feature captures the visual and audio together but can't be formatted into a real video file for uploading onto Youtube.
So I poked around for solutions and found an app called OBS it is great for capturing what's on the PC monitor directly so I downloaded the appropriate version for my PC and bingo! I figured out how to record from the emulator with audio and visual together.
Thank goodness I won't have to film the PC screen with my camera.
