I found out about this ''one life challenge thing'' from a good mate of mine J.RussellRetroGaming who found out about it from 8BitBoyUK who got it from GenerationPixel or the other way around. Yeah talk about ''Heard It Through The Grapevine''.
A fellow Youtuber Generation Pixel has these challenges for the community to see how long you can last playing a video game on 1 single try, once you lose a try you're out! And the video stops. This week is ''The Lucky Dime Caper'' on the SEGA Master System so I thought i'd give it a go.
I gave it a go and beat it! I did the challenge on my new Mega EverDrive Core flash cart running on my PAL Mega Drive model 1 console. There's none of that BS tool assisted gameplay rubbish here, the gameplay is all natural and done in one take.
Looks like my 9 year old video gaming skills have not left me as I breezed through this game with almost no hiccups. I did get a little worried when I was in the Egypt stage when I lost my hammer, luckily I reclaimed it as that is the hardest stage in the game.
