Finally beginning this build for the Mrs. She has a red-tailed boa constrictor that needs a bigger home, and so I just went into the terrarium business!
I making this from walnut, because I had walnut. She also like the look of it, so all the better. It's frame and panel construction for the most part, but the panels are glass (or Lexan) and so the frames aren't built traditionally. Half-lap joints for this bugger!
Here in part 1 the base and the 1st three frames are constructed. Let's get all the obligatory milling footage out of the way so we can get on with the project.
I plan to make the SketchUp plan available once this is done and I've verified that the plans are correct.
