I have a couple of these imported 12 VDC power supplies. They mostly work pretty well, but a recent change to the design has the fan running non-stop. That's irritating, and as it turns out unnecessary.

To fix it I'm adding back into the circuit the bi-metal thermostatic switch that these supplies used to come with. It's a super easy mod and the parts are cheap:
